57.
Synopsis
 58.

 59.
#include <stdio.h>
 60. int feof(FILE *<var>fp</var>);
 61. #define _BSD_SOURCE
 62. #include <stdio.h>
 63. int feof_unlocked(FILE *<var>fp</var>);
 64.

 65.
Description
66.
feof
tests whether or not the end of the file identified by <var>fp</var>
 67. has been reached.
 68.

 69.

feof_unlocked
is a non-thread-safe version of
feof
.
 70.
feof_unlocked
may only safely be used within a scope
 71. protected by flockfile() (or ftrylockfile()) and funlockfile(). This
 72. function may safely be used in a multi-threaded program if and only
 73. if they are called while the invoking thread owns the (FILE *)
 74. object, as is the case after a successful call to the flockfile() or
 75. ftrylockfile() functions. If threads are disabled, then
 76.
feof_unlocked
is equivalent to
feof
.
 77.

 78.
79.
Returns
80.
feof
returns
0
if the end of file has not yet been reached; if
 81. at end of file, the result is nonzero.
 82.

 83.
84.
Portability
85.
feof
is required by ANSI C.
 86.

 87.

feof_unlocked
is a BSD extension also provided by GNU libc.
 88.

 89.
No supporting OS subroutines are required.
