64.
Description
65.
getchar_unlocked
is a non-thread-safe version of
getchar

 66. declared in
stdio.h
.
getchar_unlocked
may only safely be used
 67. within a scope protected by flockfile() (or ftrylockfile()) and
 68. funlockfile(). These functions may safely be used in a multi-threaded
 69. program if and only if they are called while the invoking thread owns
 70. the ( FILE *) object, as is the case after a successful call to the
 71. flockfile() or ftrylockfile() functions. If threads are disabled,
 72. then
getchar_unlocked
is equivalent to
getchar
.
 73.

 74.
The
_getchar_unlocked_r
function is simply the reentrant version of
 75.
getchar_unlocked
which passes an addtional reentrancy structure pointer
 76. argument: <var>ptr</var>.
 77.

 78.
79.
Returns
80. See
getchar
.
 81.

 82.
83.
Portability
84. POSIX 1003.1 requires
getchar_unlocked
.
getchar_unlocked
may
 85. be implemented as a macro.
 86.

 87.
Supporting OS subroutines required:
close
,
fstat
,
isatty
,
 88.
lseek
,
read
,
sbrk
,
write
.
