66.

as
will silently choose an instruction that fits
 67. the operand size for ‘<samp>[register+constant]</samp>’ operands. For
 68. example, the offset
127
in
move.d [r3+127],r4
fits
 69. in an instruction using a signed-byte offset. Similarly,
 70.
move.d [r2+32767],r1
will generate an instruction using a
 71. 16-bit offset. For symbolic expressions and constants that do
 72. not fit in 16 bits including the sign bit, a 32-bit offset is
 73. generated.
 74.

 75.
For branches,
as
will expand from a 16-bit branch
 76. instruction into a sequence of instructions that can reach a
 77. full 32-bit address. Since this does not correspond to a single
 78. instruction, such expansions can optionally be warned about.
 79. See CRIS-Opts.
 80.

 81.
If the operand is found to fit the range, a
lapc
mnemonic
 82. will translate to a
lapcq
instruction. Use
lapc.d

 83. to force the 32-bit
lapc
instruction.
 84.

 85.
Similarly, the
addo
mnemonic will translate to the
 86. shortest fitting instruction of
addoq
,
addo.w
and
 87.
addo.d
, when used with a operand that is a constant known
 88. at assembly time.
