  80. <p>BFD maintains relocations in much the same way it maintains

  81. symbols: they are left alone until required, then read in

  82. en-masse and translated into an internal form.  A common

  83. routine <code>bfd_perform_relocation</code> acts upon the

  84. canonical form to do the fixup.

  87. while symbols are maintained on a per BFD basis.

  89. <p>All that a back end has to do to fit the BFD interface is to create

  90. a <code>struct reloc_cache_entry</code> for each relocation
