58.
#include <string.h>
 59. int strcoll(const char *<var>stra</var>, const char * <var>strb</var>);
 60.

 61.
Description
62.
strcoll
compares the string pointed to by <var>stra</var> to
 63. the string pointed to by <var>strb</var>, using an interpretation
 64. appropriate to the current
LC_COLLATE
state.
 65.

 66.
(NOT Cygwin:) The current implementation of
strcoll
simply
 67. uses
strcmp
and does not support any language-specific sorting.
 68.

 69.
70.
Returns
71. If the first string is greater than the second string,
 72.
strcoll
returns a number greater than zero. If the two
 73. strings are equivalent,
strcoll
returns zero. If the first
 74. string is less than the second string,
strcoll
returns a
 75. number less than zero.
 76.

 77.
78.
Portability
79.
strcoll
is ANSI C.
 80.

 81.

strcoll
requires no supporting OS subroutines.
 82.
