  55. <p><strong>Synopsis</strong>
  56. </p><div class="example">
  57. <pre class="example">#include &lt;wchar.h&gt;
  58. int wmemcmp(const wchar_t *<var>s1</var>, const wchar_t *<var>s2</var>, size_t <var>n</var>);
  59. </pre></div>
  60. <p><strong>Description</strong><br>
  61. The <code>wmemcmp</code> function compares the first <var>n</var> wide characters of the
  62. object pointed to by <var>s1</var> to the first <var>n</var> wide characters of the
  63. object pointed to by <var>s2</var>. This function is not affected by locale
  64. and all wchar_t values are treated identically. The null wide character
  65. and wchar_t values not corresponding to valid characters are not treated
  66. specially.
  67. </p>
  68. <p>If <var>n</var> is zero, <var>s1</var> and <var>s2</var> must be a valid pointers and the
  69. function behaves as if the two objects compare equal.
  70. </p>
  71. <br>
  72. <p><strong>Returns</strong><br>
  73. The <code>wmemcmp</code> function returns an integer greater than, equal to,
  74. or less than zero, accordingly as the object pointed to by <var>s1</var> is
  75. greater than, equal to, or less than the object pointed to by <var>s2</var>.
  76. </p>
  77. <br>
  78. <p><strong>Portability</strong><br>
  79. <code>wmemcmp</code> is ISO/IEC 9899/AMD1:1995 (ISO C).
  80. </p>
  81. <p>No supporting OS subroutines are required.
